MacMail 1.3
Setup Information
Before you begin, there is some information you will need to have handy to setup your email client.
Mail Server names:
All mail server names for Nationwide Internet Domains are of the form:
mail.example.com Example (mail.inreach.com, mail.exp.net etc)
The domain will be the last part of your email address. So if your email address is "user@nationwide.net" then the mail servers are:
mail.nationwide.net
This is true for both incoming (POP3) and outgoing(SMTP).
SENDING EMAIL:
If your connectivity to the internet is provided by someone other than Nationwide Internet, you may have to use their outgoing mail servers. Click
here for instructions on turning on SMTP Authentication.
Username and Password:
There are two formats that your Username may be in. Usually Nationwide Internet customer's user names will be the first part of your email address. So if your email address is
"somebody@nationwide.net" Your username will be "somebody".
If you are with Inreach, or you host your email with us your username will be the same as your full email address. So if your email address is "somebody@example.com" then your
user name will be "somebody@example.com".
